LIONS, ROAR!
About us
Since our founding, the Augsburg Lions have played a key role in shaping the flag football culture in Augsburg. As a non-contact form of American football, we want to make flag football accessible to everyone. Whether you are just starting out or an experienced player, we support you in playing sports with fun and passion. We show how open and respectful interaction lets us experience sports together.
Today we field four teams in the DFFL, DFFLF, Regionalliga Bayern and DFFLF2, so there is a place for everyone. Our results speak for themselves: two-time German champions with our women's team, 4th place at the German championship with our DFFL team, and university champions in 2023, 2024 and 2026 with our university team. Everyone is welcome here, because we stand for tolerance, acceptance, respect and appreciation, and we live these values every day.
We are Flag Football Augsburg!
